Video games have always interested me as a form of media. I suppose most often it is the journey of a game that appeals to me, a goal and a snippet of life broken up into worlds and levels that can be easily categorized. In this painting I reflect on the "levels" of my life that bring me to peace. The categories in my life that I journey through. Somewhat literally in terms of place I go and things I do, but mostly abstract feelings and categories as I understand them. Safety, adventure, entertainment, hard work, sexuality, pride, danger... How are each of these values like "levels" in the game that is my life. I also ask the viewer, what are the level in your life? What is your process or journey towards peace?
