Baltimore Clayworks
2008 - 2016
I worked as a contractual community artist with Baltimore Clayworks in both their community arts and children's programs. The focus of my programming is the transformative nature of clay. I use the experience of transforming blocks of clay into beautiful pieces of artwork to allow participants to consider the way their experiences in the world transform them, the power they have to influence the world around them, and provide the space for them to define and strengthen their voice. Through Clayworks I have worked with many organizations around Baltimore City including: Mother Seton Academy, Dr. Rayner Browne Academy, Booth House, and the Clayworks Studio at Mt. Washington.
